RAPCAN (Resources Aimed at the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) works to promote the rights and protection of children in Southern Africa.
RAPCAN delivers direct services to children and families, promoting the rights and protection of children.
We also do training and development of resource materials to strengthen the quality of work of others in these fields.
Our advocacy work aims for legislation, policy and practice to be in line with the international children’s rights framework.
- Advocacy focused on the reform and implementation of law and policy relating to child rights and child protection
- Research activities aimed at supporting its advocacy and programme work
- The Child Protection and Support Services Programme (CPSS) promotes and protects the rights of children within the criminal justice system
