Shukumisa Partners In Media Over Protection From Harassment Bill

The Women’s Legal Centre on Tuesday said the Protection from Harassment Bill could change the perception of sex workers, reports Eyewitness News. The Centre was one of several organisations who commented on the bill during public hearings in Parliament.

The proposed law would see people not engaged in domestic partnerships be able to report and demand action against people stalking, harassing or threatening them. Centre spokesperson Stacey-Leigh Manoek said the bill, if implemented properly, could change the way sex workers were treated.
